P. S.

Carlie, don't you think your kids would love to go caroling?

They might! Not for a couple of days yet, though, because I realized this morning I have PINKEYE, so we're treating everyone just to be preventative with leftover drops from last year, and I have to call the office tomorrow and ask for more. If Nick is reading, do you think I should pretend the kids already have it, or 'fess up and say it's not certain but we're going out of town so please give them to us anyway?

I'm so in favor of doing whatever you have to do to get the meds without sitting in the doctor's office and getting some other illness. I like the phone-in prescription whether the doctor likes it or not, but this is coming from someone who never really asks for prescriptions anyway, just the tick bite one. Good luck! Forget the coffee invite I was gonna call you with later today. How'd you get Pinkeye anyway? Does it hurt?

They're usually good about giving pinkeye prescriptions over the phone, because that's one less appointment to scrunch in and it's pretty easy to self-diagnose. No idea where it came from - probably those grubby college students. :) Usually the kids give it to me, not the other way around. Just annoying. Grrr.
